I’m in a bookstore at a convention and find a book that interests me. I use my Redlaser app to scan the UPC code to look up reader feedback on Amazon before making the decision to purchase.
Another customer looks at me and says “I think it’s rude and inapprioprate to look at something in a store and then go online and buy it for a cheaper price.”
My response: “I think it’s more rude to not mind your own business and dumb to pay more than you have to for anything. That said, I was simply checking out feedback to see if I might be interested in the book.”
Without batting an eye, the woman actually asked me how that worked and if I would show her.
Yes… I showed her.
